Seattle!
Had a long slog to get to Bremerton in order to catch the ferry into Seattle.
We had not gone far when we happened across a shop with free wi-fi so we whiled away some time in the parking lot doing things that require internet.
Carried on South to Port Ludlow where we found a marina with picnic benches and free wi-fi. All our lunch time needs were met🤣
Next major feature was the Hood Canal floating bridge which is about 2.5km long and quite bonkers. It had its own cycle lane so was easy to cross.
The ride down to Bremerton was long and not very inspiring. Thankfully Rachel picked up some rolls and a bag of crisps (chips) and we fuelled up on crisp sandwiches. Yum yum.
Camped at Illahee state park. Bit of a naval thing going on there.
Ferry over into Seattle gave us panoramic views of the city skyline.
We then had a leisurely ride through the Olympic park and past the Space Needle on the way to our city hosts.
Rest day / sightseeing tomorrow.
Looks like a great route. Great view of Seattle!
